Bone Broth
Ingredients
- Carcass, bones and giblets
- Water
- 1 onion, peeled, quartered
- 5 cloves garlic, smashed
- 2 celery stacks, leaves included
- 4 carrots
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 Tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 Tablespoon peppercorns
Instructions
- Add the bones and innards to a crockpot, crushing the carcass if necessary.
- Add remaining ingredients
- Add just enough water to cover the other ingredients
- Slow-cook on low for 24-48 hours
- Cool to room temperature
- Strain with a sieve to remove the solids
- Discard the solids
