Peanut Butter Cookies
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter
- 1/4 cup shortening
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 egg
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients in a large bowl.
- Freeze for 20 minutes until dough is firm.
- Heat over to 375 degrees.
- Shape dough into 1 1/2 inch balls on an ungreased cookie sheet.
- Flatten with a fork.
- Bake 9 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool on the cookie rack for 5 minutes.
- Transfer to a wire rack to finish cooling.
