Steak with Mushrooms and Onions
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 lbs boneless beef round steaks
- 1/2 cup A-1 steak sauce
- 1 Tablespoon canola oil
- 16 ounces sliced mushrooms
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
Instructions
- Trim fat and cut steaks into 6 pieces.
- Marinate beef and sauce for at least 1 hour.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Brown steaks for 2 minutes on each side.
- Layer mushrooms, onions and steaks in a slow cooker.
- Add 1/4 cup of water to the skillet.
- Scrape skillet drippings and add to the slow cooker.
- Add salt and pepper.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours, or on high for 4-6 hours.
