Italian Sausage Penne Pasta
Ingredients
- 1 pound mild Italian sausage
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 Tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic chopped
- 1 16-ounce can diced tomatoes
- 1 15-ounce can tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 teaspoons dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 cloves garlic
- 16 ounces penne pasta, cooked
Instructions
- Slice sausage and brown in a large skillet over medium heat for 10 minutes.
- Set aside.
- Add ground beef, olive oil, garlic and onion and cook until meat is browned.
- Drain.
- Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, basil, oregano, bay leaves, sausage, beef and additional garlic.
- Simmer 5 minutes.
- Serve over penne pasta.
